It's back! Step into the world of Alice in Wonderland at Valentines Mansion. With interactive outdoor theatre performances, craft activities, children’s rides (small charge applies), activity trails, movie & story time, and much much more.

There will be a costume parade and prizes for children in ‘Alice in Wonderland’ fancy dress. Children in ‘Alice in Wonderland’ fancy dress with a wristband will be able to ride free at the funfair in Melbourne field after the event closes at 4pm.

Come and join us for a walk over Wanstead Flats and perhaps on to the Park (for those who want to carry on) with Tim Harris (a leading light of the WREN group!) as our walk leader.

Spring should be underway with birdsong to be heard and summer visitors to be found!
Please note earlier time of 8.30am (better for birdsong and perhaps less people around).

Please contact us to provide your details so we can tell you of any late changes (and to make sure we do not have too many people on the walk).

For all outings we advise strong waterproof footwear and warm waterproof clothing plus, of course, binoculars.

Collectibles, antiques, vintage jewellery, buttons, clothes and other items, perfumes and handbags, household items, curios, homemade preserves, greeting cards and lots more. In 2 halls, lots of stalls, great friendly atmosphere. Come and find a unique item or gift.


A good place to pop in for a coffee, have a drink or lunch with a friend and find a great bargain too! Hot and cold refreshments available (homemade).10 am to 4.30 pm. Admission £1.
